In 2022, we took over Bootham cafe with the desire to create a place that would spark conversation, where people would feel compelled to return. Thus, the only establishment for savory waffles in York was born. Our goal remained straightforward - to provide excellent food with heartfelt care.
By 2024, we expanded and launched a coffee kiosk at York train station. It was just the start. Shortly after, we opened the doors to our small bakery on Micklegate, which became an integral part of the Micklegate community, and honestly, it's a wonderful neighborhood.
We continued to grow, and our flagship store in York’s vibrant High Street on Parliament Street opened its doors in 2025.
We made a significant transition. Our cozy bakery became too cramped, prompting us to relocate to the largest bakery in York - our Layerthorpe bakery and café, which is now a hub for locals, families, mothers, and students. It is a social environment where everyone is welcome to observe the live bakery kitchen, savor fresh pastries, brunch options with a cup of coffee, or enjoy an evening grill with a pint of beer.
